• Your name and email address for account creation and PDF delivery
• Payment information processed securely through Stripe — we never store card numbers
• Photos you upload stored securely and used only for your tribute
• Device and usage data (browser type, pages visited) collected automatically to improve our service

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and deliver your tribute PDF and memorial website
• To send your order confirmation and completed tribute by email
• To maintain your account and saved tributes
• To process payments securely
• To improve our platform and provide customer support

3. Sensitive Information & Dignity

We understand the deeply personal nature of the information you share with us. Details about your loved one — their life story, photos, and memories — are treated with the utmost care and respect. 4. Photo & Image Data

Photos you upload are stored securely via Cloudflare R2. If you opt for background removal, your image is processed by our background removal service and the result is stored for your tribute only. Photos are never used to train any system and are not accessible to other users.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS). We use Supabase for database storage and Stripe for payment processing — both maintain their own rigorous security certifications. We retain your tribute data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and maintain your session. We may use analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use our site. You may disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly.

7. Third-Party Services

We work with trusted third-party providers to deliver our service:

• Stripe — payment processing (subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy)
• Cloudflare R2 — image storage and processing
• Supabase — secure database hosting
• Netlify — website hosting

Each provider is contractually obligated to protect your data.

1. Service Description

Beautiful Obituary provides an online platform for creating personalized obituary tributes in PDF and digital formats. Our service includes tribute creation tools, theme selection, PDF generation, and optional memorial websites.

2. Payment & Refunds

All purchases are final. Pricing is clearly displayed before purchase. By completing checkout you authorize the stated charge. In the event of a technical failure on our part that prevents delivery of your tribute, we will provide a full refund. For questions about billing contact support@beautifulobituary.com.

3. Content You Provide

You are responsible for all content you submit — text, photos, and information about your loved one. By submitting content you confirm you have the right to use it. You grant Beautiful Obituary a limited license to use your content solely to create and deliver your tribute.

4. Intellectual Property

All designs, themes, layouts, and software on Beautiful Obituary are our intellectual property. The completed tribute PDF is yours to use. You may not resell, redistribute, or use our templates outside of the tribute you paid for.

5. Funeral Home Partners

Funeral home partners are subject to a separate Partner Agreement. Subscription fees are billed monthly. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Partners are responsible for ensuring families have consented to their information being used to create a tribute.

6. Limitation of Liability

Beautiful Obituary is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in question. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party services.

7. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
