More than a template
Many obituary makers give you a form with blanks, or a template to fill in yourself. Ours begins with the person. You answer questions about who they were, what they loved and the people who loved them. From your answers we write a full obituary, then set it into a funeral program design with their photograph, in the size you choose.
You read what we wrote and change any line by tapping it. Nothing is final until you say so.
How the obituary maker works
- Tell us their name and dates. Everything else is optional, so skip anything you do not know.
- Add their photograph. We can lift the background away if you like.
- Answer the questions: where they were from, their work, their family, what they were known for.
- Read the obituary we write from your answers, and edit it.
- Choose a design and see the finished program. Copy the obituary or email it to yourself, free.
Is it an AI obituary generator?
It uses an AI writing assistant to draft the words, and only from what you tell us. We do not invent memories or facts. You decide what stays, and you can rewrite any sentence, or write the whole obituary yourself and use the tool for the design.

What is free, and what is not
Writing, designing, previewing, copying the obituary and emailing it to yourself are free, with no account. You pay only if you want the finished print-ready file or printed copies.
